Senior Accountant ($70-85k) , Jacksonville, FL Immediate need for a Senior Accountant with a well-established CPA firm since 1980.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Prepare and review general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closing activities in accordance with GAAP.
  • Plan and execute internal / external audit assignments.
  • Prepare clear and concise audit workpapers, findings, and recommendations.
  • Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts.
  • Prepare and file accurate and timely federal, state, and local tax returns (corporate, partnership, sales / use, property, etc.).
  • Process biweekly, semi-monthly, or monthly payroll for hourly, salaried, and contract employees.

Qualifications :

  • 4+ years of Public Accounting experience in the U.S. required.
  • Experience in audits for churches, schools, non-profits, healthcare agencies, construction, and commercial entities.
  • Expertise in auditing, payroll, AR / AP.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related majors.
  • CPA preferred but not required.
  • Expertise in the preparation of Personal and Corporate Tax Returns. 1120C, 1120S, 1040, 1065, 990's.
  • Great technical skills (Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, Drake and Caseware Software experience).
