Gauntt Koen Binney & Kidd, LLP is in search of a Paralegal with approximately 3-5 years of litigation experience. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :
- Act as a liaison between the courts, attorneys, clients, opposing counsel and / or their office, court reporters, etc.
- Schedule hearings, depositions, meetings
- Work with assigned attorney to prioritize, track, update, and meet case deadlines
- Draft and prepare legal documents such as pleadings, discovery, motions and notices as well as general correspondence including editing documents produced by others
- Work with assigned attorney to maintain and work up assigned litigation files including ordering records, reviewing and analyzing discovery responses and records, drafting summaries of discovery, depositions, and records, drafting medical timelines
- Enter and edit time entries for monthly billing
- Work closely with assigned attorney on any other special projects as necessary and perform other related duties as assigned or requested
- Assist with trial preparation
- Some copying, scanning, or legal assistant work on as needed basis
