ADULT VOLLEYBALL OFFICIAL

DEPARTMENT : PARKS & RECREATION

JOB CLASSIFICATION : PART TIME

GENERAL PURPOSE

Under the general supervision of the Recreation Supervisor, responsible for officiating adult Volleyball games.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

This is a non-benefitted position

Responsible for officiating adult Volleyball games

Resolve problems and conflicts on site.

Exhibit and emphasize teamwork and sportsmanship.

Prepare reports and other written documents as needed.

Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Requires a strong knowledge Volleyball, including rules, scoring procedures and hand signals. Ability to move up and down the ladder to officials stand; could require some bending and lifting. Watch for and call all rule violations and be able to communicate reason for violation. Ability to resolve problems and conflicts at game site.

SCHEDULE

Adult Leagues on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. Season runs November through middle to end of January.
