Seasonal Full Time Position in Memphis, TN

Schedule / Hours : Seasonal Monday - Friday (36.25 hours per week)

This position is responsible for :

  • Working in the Christmas center; lifting, carrying, loading and unloading variety of donations that may include furniture, appliances, clothing, etc.; works to promote the safety and security of the warehouse; assists with the cleanup, lay out, and set up of the warehouse; assists with possible pick up from the malls or corporations, if necessary.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lifts and stacks donations in the warehouse.
  • Distributes donations to their proper place as instructed in the warehouse.
  • Unloads the truck at the Christmas warehouse.
  • Cleans and services assigned areas in the Christmas Center.
  • Pick up trash, empty garbage containers, and remove all trash to area for disposal.

    • Physical Requirements and Working Conditions :

  • Work requires an ability to follow instructions acquired through a partial high school education.
  • Must have physical strength adequate to carry and unload materials from truck and in warehouse.
  • Must be able to work independently and must be willing to work shifts that vary from day to night and be on call weekends.
  • Must be organized.
  • Job requires considerable physical effort and may entail some pressure and fatigue.
  • Work requires working in a warehouse environment with exposure to fluctuating temperatures and discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like with lots of walking and bending.
