Matrix Providers is hiring a Program Manager to join our corporate team working from their home-based office. The Program Manager is responsible for leading day-to-day operational execution for our clinical staffing program supporting federal healthcare delivery. The Program Manager is also expected to identify growth opportunities and play a key role in driving performance that supports both revenue targets and expansion across assigned markets. This position oversees provider performance, facilitates strong customer relationships, and ensures program goals are met across clinical quality, and staffing metrics.

The Program Manager will partner with recruitment, credentialing, operations and HR to implement program-level strategies to improve staffing fill rates, retention, and quality. The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of customer service, project management, and healthcare delivery knowledge.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Oversee full program lifecycle from onboarding to provider performance tracking and client satisfaction.
  • Ensure timely identification and resolution of provider performance issues, working with Recruitment, credentialing, and scheduling as needed.
  • Deliver strategic solutions that meet client needs and exceed expectations
  • Contribute to overall revenue growth by identifying opportunities to increase practitioner utilization, reduce program attrition, and drive timely fulfillment of open task orders.
  • Partner with Business Development and Capture teams to support organic growth, recompete readiness, and the identification of new customer needs.
  • Maintain visibility into financial performance across assigned task orders and escalate risks of revenue or margin goals.
  • Ensure timely identification and resolution of provider performance issues, working with recruitment, credentialing, and scheduling as needed.
  • Manage the end-to-end travel process including provider outreach, preference collection, travel form verification, itinerary confirmation, hotel bookings, and post-travel reimbursement.
  • Support weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting obligations to clients and internal leadership.
  • Lead initiatives that drive standardization, operational efficiency, and proactive risk management.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications : (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 3+ years of healthcare staffing, program management, account management or government contracting experience.
  • Prior experience managing customer-facing programs.
  • Experience supporting Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) or DoD contracts a plus.

  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a remote environment.

  • Comfort with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Smartsheet or similar tools.
  • Physical Demands : The physical demands of this role are consistent with those of a typical office-based position. The employee must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods, operate a computer and other office equipment, and communicate effectively via phone, video, and email. Occasional travel may involve walking, standing, and transporting small amounts of materials (e.g., laptops, presentation materials).

    While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

    Work Environment : This is a remote, home-based position. The individual must have a dedicated workspace that allows for reliable internet connectivity, minimal distractions, and a professional environment suitable for virtual meetings. Occasional travel may be required for client site visits, team meetings, or program reviews (approximately 10–15%).
