Must have 5+ years experience of "Warehouse Management" system experience in a production manufacturing environment. Candidates must list the WMS system they have used and describe FIFO application in a manufacturing setting to be considered.

The Material Handler is responsible for managing and moving materials within the warehouse and production environment. They ensure the efficient flow of materials, maintain inventory accuracy, and support production and shipping operations.

Requirements :

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

• Loading and Unloading : Safely load and unload materials from trucks and other transport vehicles.
• Inventory Management : Record inventory statuses, organize and store materials in designated areas, and ensure accurate inventory counts.
• Order Fulfillment : Pick and pack orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and proper packaging.
• Equipment Operation : Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
• Safety Compliance : Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment.
• Documentation : Maintain accurate records of materials moved, inventory levels, and any discrepancies.
• Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) : Utilize WMS to track inventory, manage orders, and optimize warehouse operations.
• Collaboration : Work with other departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials.
• Other duties as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in a standard manufacturing environment where they are required to stand and move for extended periods of time. The employee will also be expected to spend significant time using a computer. The environment can be extremely hot at times. This environment involves standing, climbing, kneeling, reaching, and crouching. Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull and balance up to 50 pounds (unassisted) and must be able to do so with extreme care and caution.
