Must be self-motivated and willing to market yourself to grow your clientele. 80 / 20 split (you keep 80% of your prep fees). Flexible, remote position – work from anywhere. Position Overview :
We are seeking experienced Tax Preparers with an active PTIN to join our team as independent contractors for the upcoming tax season. As a Tax Preparer, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and compliant tax returns, building and maintaining your own client base, and delivering excellent customer service. This role is commission-based with an 80 / 20 fee split – you keep 80% of the preparation fees you earn.
Key Responsibilities :
- Prepare and file accurate federal and state income tax returns for individuals and small businesses.
- Conduct thorough client interviews to gather financial information.
- Maintain compliance with IRS rules, regulations, and due diligence requirements.
- Market and promote your services to acquire and retain clients.
- Provide tax advice within scope of preparer responsibilities and refer complex issues as needed.
- Protect confidential client information and maintain proper records.
