Bellecour Bistro, Gavin Kaysen’s French-influenced bistro in the North Loop neighborhood of Downtown Minneapolis, is looking for Hosts to provide a warm and welcoming experience for every guest. Hosts manage reservations, waitlists, table turns, and phone calls, while communicating guest needs and anticipating seating issues with a friendly and engaging demeanor. Hosts are the first and last impression of our restaurant, and we expect each host to inhabit genuine hospitality in all interactions.

Timeline : Training to begin mid-November for an anticipated late November opening.

Responsibilities :

  • Welcoming and seating our guests
  • Maintaining the waitlist
  • Coordinating the guest experience with service and management teams
  • Responding to guest inquiries and reservation requests over the phone
  • Managing reservations using Tock
  • Confirming reservations via phone and text message
  • Assisting with administrative tasks

Required Skill Set and Knowledge :

  • Think and communicate clearly in high pressure situations
  • Move quickly and gracefully throughout the dining room
  • Basic knowledge of Bellecour’s menus, ingredients, and cooking techniques
  • Prioritize and multitask
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Stand on your feet for up to 10 hours
  • Lift and carry up to 20 pounds

  • During the first year of employment, Paid Time Off (PTO), in accordance with Minnesota's Earned Sick and Safe Time law, is accrued at a rate of 1 hour per 30 hours worked and is available for use as soon as it is accrued.
