We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Cellar Technician to join our production team at Avid Cider, a leading cider manufacturer dedicated to crafting high-quality, innovative ciders. The Cellar Technician will play a critical role in the day-to-day operations of our cellar, focusing on fermentation management, product transfers, filter operation, sanitation, and assisting with various stages of cider production.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist in all aspects of cellar operations including fermentation, racking, blending, clarification, and filtration
- Cleaning tank and equipment following standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines
- Monitor fermentation progress and record data (temperatures, gravities, volumes, pH, etc.)
- Execute safe and accurate product transfers using pumps, hoses, and valves
- Operate and maintain cellar equipment
- Manage inventory of cellar supplies and alert management of any discrepancies
- Participate in packaging runs (canning, bottling, kegging) as needed
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of cellar and production areas
- Assist with quality control procedures and documentation
- Report any equipment issues, safety concerns, or product variances to management
