Base pay range $175,000.00 / yr - $200,000.00 / yr

The Director, Product Management – Advanced TV at IAB Tech Lab is a unique opportunity to be at the center of streaming video. IAB Tech Lab is seeking a technology expert to join our dynamic team and drive the programs responsible for evolving digital video, audio and measurement standards through the growth of CTV and podcasting. This role will contribute to the health and success of a range of standards in digital campaign activation, video and audio asset delivery, and campaign measurement.

This position combines skills leading technical projects with participation from leaders at companies in the digital advertising ecosystem. The candidate will be working across multiple working groups requiring domain knowledge, program management and project management skills.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) :

This team member will report into the VP, Product Management.

Work with Tech Lab member companies, trade organizations and team members to gather technical and business requirements for evolutions of technical standards for e.g. VAST, SIMID, ACIF, Open Measurement SDK and more.

Lead Tech Lab working groups and related projects to execute and deliver on Tech Lab Product Roadmap

Onboard, consult and advise ad tech companies on Tech Lab’s standards, products and services for video advertising delivery and measurement.

Participate in Tech Lab and third-party events to drive awareness and adoption of Tech Lab’s standards, products and services

Manage and evangelize open source projects and developer communities focused on programmatic standards.

Communicate and present technical requirements in plain and simple language that’s easily understood by a broader audience.

Work with marketing, other product managers and the operations team to support launch of new standards, products, services and tools in programmatic.

Qualifications include :

The work location for this team member is flexible.

You have a minimum of 5 years of product and / or program management experience in technology / software, ideally in digital advertising space.

In depth understanding of product management processes.

Understanding of advertising technology and workflows including programmatic / real time bidding technology.

Solid grasp of streaming & CTV technologies, especially server-side ad insertion.

Experience and knowledge of working with web and device OS technology.

A minimum of 2 years of experience communicating opportunity assessment and product benefits to company leadership and other audiences. This should include experience through creation of documentation and by delivering presentations / meetings.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

Experience with IAB Tech Lab standards is a plus.

Experience or knowledge of collaborative standards setting are a plus.

Experience and knowledge of TV advertising business and technology is a plus

Formal project management experience is a plus.

Preferred :

You have operational experience in ad tech, digital e-comm or identity / data management.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.

Previous experience contributing to IAB Tech Lab, other ad industry working groups or open-source standards.
