Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level 3 trauma Emergency Department float position requiring a MI RN license and recent ED experience.

Responsibilities

  • Work in the Emergency Department with float assignments including ED and ED observation units
  • Level 3 trauma center environment
  • Typical patient ratio is a maximum of 1 : 6
  • Night shifts from 7pm to 7 : 30am, working three 12-hour shifts per week
  • No blocked scheduling permitted
  • Floating may be required to a nearby sister hospital
  • Completion of online modules onsite with a passing score required prior to start
  • COVID vaccine is mandatory in accordance with facility policy
  • Must complete background check and drug screening at specified vendors prior to start
  • Responsibilities include leadership in patient care coordination and communication with the healthcare team
  • Request for time off must be discussed with managers after assignment start

    • Requirements

  • Active Michigan RN license required
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
  • Minimum of 2 years recent and relevant Emergency Department experience
  • Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
  • TNCC, ENPC, PALS, or CPI certifications preferred
