The Job :
At Convergence, Control4 Sales Representatives are tasked with creating top new business opportunities. The ideal team member will thrive working in a fast paced environment, managing their schedule to interact with prospects, customers and our install teams.
The perfect fit for this position will be an experienced sales professional who excels at all facets of selling within the construction space, especially prospecting, networking and new business development and has experience creating new or upgraded construction designs.
Compensation for this position is base salary plus aggressive commission structure. Convergence believes in compensating our sales team for performance. The Sales Development Representative will receive both product and sales training and support on an ongoing basis.
On a given workday at Convergence, you will :
Hunt for New Business : Actively seek and generate new sales opportunities, cultivating long-lasting relationships with our high-end client base.
Be a Technology Expert : Conduct engaging in-home and showroom consultations to demonstrate the wow-factor of Control4 and other smart home solutions.
Craft Winning Proposals : Design and present professional proposals that not only meet the clients needs but get them excited about the possibilities.
Collaborate for Success :
Work closely with our design teams and project managers to ensure every project is built for success.
Stay on top of the latest trends in the smart home industry, becoming an invaluable resource for clients and the team.
Ensure a smooth hand-off to our project managers and technicians, guaranteeing a flawless client experience from start to finish.
Requirements :
Experience in sales. Must be able to prove past success.
A minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience within the construction or home technology space is preferred.
Must have high desire, commitment, motivation, and goal orientation.
Must have experience in generating new business. This is a prospecting-centric job.
Must be a self-starter and eager to learn. You should have a love for technology and the desire to master our extensive and ever-evolving product catalog.
A solid understanding of Control4 or similar platforms (Savant, Crestron, etc.) is highly preferred.
Must sell consultatively not on price, product features, benefits, bells, or whistles.
Be a great listener and an even better communicator.
Ability to multi-task and persevere in a fast-paced dynamic environment with a sense of urgency.
Must have a high level of professionalism and integrity.

Must be able to travel regularly to RDU
