Responsibilities Work in a hospital operating room setting Required to float between departments and / or locations within 20 miles Serves a wide range of surgical cases including potential ortho, EENT, and vascular procedures 10-hour day shifts with 0630 start time, four days per week On-call required 1-5 times every 6 weeks, including weekends Epic EMR experience preferred but not required; training provided on-site Primary responsibilities include direct patient care using the nursing process, collaboration with surgical and perioperative teams, and supervising LPNs and assistive personnel Completion of patient population, age-specific, procedural, and protocol education and competency testing required per unit standards Must pass on-site Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia testing during orientation; two attempts permitted Candidates who were previously permanent staff must wait one year before returning as a traveler Scrub attire consistent with OR standards required Requirements Active NM or Compact State RN license required Current BLS certification from AHA, American Health and Safety, or Red Cross required Minimum two years of recent experience in a large operating room required Must be able to scrub Successful completion of at least one previous 13-week travel assignment required Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required ACLS and PALS certifications preferred Candidate must live at least 50 miles from the facility (no locals allowed) Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-604856.
