Job Description
The Channel Marketing Executive – Costco role leads strategic relationship development and go-to-market efforts with Costco. This role is focused on opening doors, building alliances, and positioning the company as a trusted supplier for retail packaging and POP displays. It is not a closing role, but a high impact connector and strategist.
Qualifications
Responsibilities :
- Strategic Account Leadership
Serve as the internal subject matter expert on Costco—its culture, operations, business cycles, and key decision-makers
Develop a roadmap to position the company as a recommended supplier for packaging and POP displaysGenerate and qualify $10M+ in new business opportunities within the first 12 monthsRelationship DevelopmentBuild and nurture relationships across Costco’s category management, operations, packaging approval, and vendor management teams
Unlock access to senior decision-makers who influence procurement and strategic initiativesRepresent the company in innovation discussions and collaborative effortsOpportunity Generation & EnablementIdentify gaps within Costco’s vendor ecosystem where packaging and fulfillment support is needed
Coordinate with Sales Executives to hand off qualified leads and strategic connectionsCollaborate with marketing to develop targeted messaging and presentation toolsInfrastructure Strategy & ExpansionAdvise on infrastructure needs to support Costco, including logistics, manufacturing, and location strategy
Contribute to the evaluation of a potential regional office near Costco HQCross-functional Collaboration o Partner with Marketing, Sales, and Operations to align messaging, capabilities, and compliance with Costco expectationsQualifications
5–7 years in channel marketing, strategic accounts, or business development with direct Costco exposureStrong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skillsExperience working at or with Costco HQ (Issaquah, WA)Familiarity with pack-out, fulfillment, or co-packing operationsWillingness to travel and support future regional expansionBackground in retail packaging, POP displays, or consumer goodsHigh ethical standards and integrityEnergetic, optimistic, and passionate about the industryCustomer service orientation and brand stewardshipOwnership mindset and team accountabilityCollaborative and inclusive decision-makingStrong project management and prioritization skillsCreative problem-solving and continuous improvementExcellent communication across all levels and mediaAdditional Information
Education and Experience :
5–7 years in channel marketing, strategic accounts, or business development with direct Costco exposureProven success in developing high-level relationships at CostcoDeep understanding of Costco’s operational model and vendor dynamicsOther Requirements :
Must be a U.S. citizenTravel - Up to 35% domestic travel required, including visits to Costco HQPhysical Demands :Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
Requires standing, sitting, walking, and color visionPre-EmploymentCandidates must successfully complete background and reference checks, a drug screening, and a physical exam prior to hire.
