Med / Surg RN Job Details Location : Rugby, ND 58368 (North Dakota travel nursing jobs) Assignment Length : 13 weeks (10 / 28 / 2025 – 1 / 27 / 2026) Healthcare Setting : Acute Care – Med / Surg Unit, Critical Access Hospital Shift : 12-hour rotating shifts (days / nights), including weekends and holidays Hours : 36 hours per week guaranteed Unit Size : 10 staffed private rooms (18 beds total) Charting System : Epic EMR Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1860 - $2000 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Dakota or compact state Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg RN experience BLS certification required ACLS and NIH Stroke Education preferred IV therapy experience required Ability to read and interpret cardiac strips (Phillips monitors) Familiarity with Epic EMR preferred Willingness to assist in the Emergency Room (ER) as backup if needed Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to a diverse Med / Surg patient population (including pneumonia, rehab, UTI, post-op, pain management, aspiration, fractures, dementia, falls, and more) Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1 : 6 or less (occasionally up to 1 : 8 on night shifts) Administer medications, perform IV therapy, and titrate drips (basic knowledge required; Cardizem most common) Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members, including charge nurses, nurse aides, and providers Conduct patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and document care using Epic EMR Educate patients and families on care plans and discharge instructions Participate in weekend and holiday rotation as scheduled Follow facility policies, procedures, and dress code (any color / pattern scrubs) Apply now to join our healthcare team and take the next step in your travel nursing career with this Med / Surg RN job in Rugby, North Dakota!
