We are searching for an experienced Full-Time Person in Charge - 702 Goleta at 7090 Hollister Avenue, Goleta, California, 93117, United States.

Overview

Primary Duties And Responsibilities include receiving inventory, stocking and maintaining a store section, operating a cash register, custom carry-out services and store cleaning. The person will assist the store manager in daily store operations in the absence of upper-management, help supervise associates, and perform basic bookkeeping duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Carry store keys to open / operate front entry / exit doors, office, rollup door and register.
• Assist the store manager in daily store operations in the absence of upper management.
• Supervise associates in their duties and perform basic bookkeeping duties.
• Maintain a store section, order, receive and stock merchandise using proper equipment; review invoices for accuracy; stock shelves, displays, and deli / freezer cases; set up advertising / promotional displays; mark prices.
• Operate a cash register, handle cash and transactions; review price / order books and vendor pricing information; give refunds as approved; verify customer eligibility for cigarettes / alcohol.
• Provide friendly, courteous customer service; assist with loading purchases into cartons and helping customers to vehicles.
• Perform basic bookkeeping duties, record lost / damaged goods and store supplies; end-of-day checkout; post information on Direct Purchase Register and RMIA as required.

Education and / or Experience

One to three (1-3) years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Retail Management Certificate is desirable. PC skills preferred.

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
