Overview :

A leading manufacturer is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Cost Estimator to join our team. This role is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates and quotes for precision-manufactured components. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining and manufacturing processes, along with the ability to analyze drawings, determine material and labor requirements, and develop detailed estimates.

Key Responsibilities :

• Review customer requests for quotes (RFQs) including blueprints, CAD drawings, and specifications.
• Evaluate part requirements to determine materials, machining processes, tooling, and outside services needed.
• Request and analyze material and vendor pricing from approved suppliers.
• Calculate cycle times, programming time, set-up, and run times for machining operations (CNC, manual, secondary processes).
• Develop cost breakdowns including labor, material, tooling, overhead, and subcontracted services.
• Ensure all estimates are accurate, competitive, and aligned with production capabilities.
• Present completed cost estimates and quotations to management for review and submission to customers.
• Maintain and update data within the ERP system related to estimating and quoting.
