A precision manufacturing company operating within an FAA-regulated environment is seeking a skilled ID / OD Grinder Operator II to perform high-precision internal and external grinding operations. This role requires strong technical ability, mechanical aptitude, and experience producing components that meet extremely tight tolerances for aerospace and high-spec applications.

Core Responsibilities
Review and interpret blueprints, sketches, and schematics to plan grinding operations
Set up and operate manual and non-conventional ID / OD grinders
Measure and inspect finished parts using micrometers, gauges, and precision tools to ensure conformance with specifications
Adjust tooling and machine parameters to maintain tolerance accuracy up to .0005”
Maintain and lubricate grinding equipment to ensure optimal performance
Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area
Record production output and report any equipment or quality issues promptly

Skills & Abilities
Proficient in both conventional and nonconventional ID / OD grinding
Strong understanding of feeds, speeds, and materials common in aerospace manufacturing
Exceptional precision machining skills and attention to detail
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings
Strong problem-solving and mathematical aptitude
Effective verbal and written communication in English
Excellent manual dexterity and coordination
Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required
Minimum 5 years of ID / OD grinding experience on manual and NC grinders
Prior experience with aerospace materials preferred
Must be able to pass FAA-compliant pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
Frequent hand and wrist motion for precise equipment adjustments
Regular exposure to machine shop noise and tools
Strong visual acuity including depth and color perception
