Salary : $250,000 - $400,000 per year

Our client, a highly-sophisticated, mid-sized firm located on Long Island, is seeking a Senior Level Real Estate Attorney who has extensive experience in transactional commercial leasing on both landlord and tenant side. Retail leasing experience is preferred!

Job Details

Responsibilities :

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial real estate lease documents, including leases, amendments, assignments, subleases, terminations, and other related documents.
  • Counsel clients on commercial leasing matters, including lease interpretation, dispute resolution, and compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
  • Conduct due diligence reviews and provide strategic advice on potential real estate transactions.
  • Collaborate with the broader legal team on cross-functional projects and initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and their interests are protected.
  • Stay up-to-date on current trends and changes in real estate law, sharing knowledge and insights with the team.

Qualifications :

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
  • License to practice law in the state.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a real estate attorney, with a focus on commercial leasing.
  • Proven experience in handling complex real estate transactions.
  • Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal real estate laws and regulations.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
