Accounting Specialist Role

• As the Accounting Specialist, you will assist the Controller in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring smooth day-to-day accounting operations. You’ll manage general ledger activity, handle vendor payables and customer receivables, process employee expenses, and support month-end close activities. The Accounting Specialist will also help track capital expenditures (CAPEX), manage intercompany allocations, and prepare internal financial reports.
• Prepare and post journal entries; reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, employee expenses, and credit card reconciliations
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, including preparation of financial reporting packages
• Assist with intercompany accounting, fixed asset tracking, and capital project reporting
• Review and verify expense submissions in Expensify, ensuring accurate coding and compliance
• Maintain documentation for audits and ensure adherence to internal accounting policies
• Partner with the Controller on cash flow analysis, budgeting, and financial planning
• Support process improvement initiatives and assist with potential ERP migration from QuickBooks to Oracle
