CERTIFIED NURSE AIDE - MEMORY CARE

The Certified Nurse Aide / Caregiver provides direct personal care and related services to residents in the community according to documented, individualized service and care plans. Treats each resident with respect and dignity, recognizes individual needs and encourages independence. Certified to provide routine wellness services to residents in accordance with the established nursing care procedures and as directed by the supervisor.

FLSA STATUS : Non-Exempt

HOURS : 3pm-11pm

SALARY : $14.00 / hour

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS :

• CPR Certified
• Must complete a minimum of 12 hours per year of in-service education
• Experience in geriatric nursing, emergency care, first-aid
• Desirable to have training in the special needs of the cognitively impaired resident i.e., Alzheimer, and Dementia training
• Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position
• Must possess the ability to work effectively with physicians, management, employees, and other outside contacts
• Must be able to bend / stoop, climb, reach above shoulder level, kneel, balance, push, pull, squat, crouch, lift, carry, and move up to one hundred (100) pounds.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

Tasks may include, but are not limited to the following :

Personal hygiene (bathing, grooming, hair care, shaving and skin care)
