Building Inspector
Incumbents inspect, approve, or reject all phases of commercial, multi-family and more complex single-family residential construction and improvements to ensure compliance with plans, standards, specifications, codes and regulations, permits, and any special requirements. Incumbents recommend issuance of correction notices or approvals as appropriate; respond to inquiries and provide information to contractors, developers, property owners, and the general public. Incumbents compile reports, maintain logs and records, and performs other related activities.
Education and / or experience : High School Diploma or G.E.D. and four years experience in construction, building inspection or building trades. Additional education cannot be substituted for experience.
Certifications, licenses, registrations : Must have at the time of hire and be able to maintain a valid Arizona driver license.
