The Position : Our Special Education teachers play a vital role in planning, organizing, and delivering specialized instructional programs in a special education elementary or secondary learning environment, guiding and encouraging students to develop and fulfill their academic / behavioral potential. Teachers work under the general supervision of the Principal and in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
Compensation and Benefits :
Pay Range : $68,640 - $76,000 annually

Qualifications :
Current California Intern / Preliminary / Clear Mild / Moderate or Extensive Needs Education Specialist CredentialExperience working with students with learning, emotional, and behavioral disabilities, autism spectrum, speech and communication disorders preferredPreferred : Prior teaching experience in a non-public school special education settingProficient in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite, and other office-related softwareStrong written and verbal communication skillsGeneral administrative and clerical abilitiesMust pass a pre-employment physical examination, tuberculosis (TB) test, and drug screeningKey Responsibilities :
Plan, organize, and implement engaging daily lessons aligned with the approved curriculumConduct pre- and post-testing using standardized teacher-developed tests for each studentAs part of the team, develop, implement, and present IEPs in collaboration with students, parents, and other educatorsManage classroom behavior in a respectful, structured, and trauma-informed mannerMaintain accurate and timely records, progress reports, and documentation as requiredDemonstrate competency in all subject areas and schedule the classroom day to include instruction in all curriculum areasActively participate in Interdisciplinary Treatment MeetingsCollaborate with the team to develop and implement effective instructional strategiesCommunicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders to ensure student successSupervise Instructional Aides assigned to the classroomActively participate in the agency's Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) planMust maintain an active teaching credential, license, or permitUse of a personal cell phone for work-related communication when agency radios and phones are not easily accessibleAbility to transfer classrooms as neededMaintain confidentiality and appropriate professional boundaries at all timesRepresent the agency in a professional, respectful manner when interacting with internal and external stakeholdersComplete all onboarding requirements within the designated time frame and remain in compliance with agency expectations for timely review and acknowledgment of policies, procedures, and trainingsPerform all other related duties and responsibilities as assignedWhy Should You Apply?
