Prolec GE designs, manufactures, and sells products and solutions for the generation, transmission, and distribution of electric energy. With more than 50 years' experience in the industry, Prolec GE is an important player in the Mexican market and a key participant in the rest of the Americas, with business units in Mexico, the United States, and Brazil.
As a process engineer you will work to build process efficiency in accordance to TPS concepts to create the most efficient process possible. Participate in root cause analysis with Quality department to eliminate / reduce defects. Support all EHS risks / concerns within assigned Value Stream to eliminate / reduce EHS risks.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a high level of understanding of basic business operations and organizational mechanisms (systems, processes, departments, functions) that drive profitable growth; leverage your personal experiences to quickly evaluate business plans and processes to identify the information or recommendations that need more research.
- Validate design specifications and shop floor application of new product, tools, or equipment. Includes Manufacturing Engineers.
- Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline
- Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy / strategy.
- In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work
- In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
- Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance
- Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems
- May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.

- Provides informal guidance to new team members
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.Minimum of 3 years of experience in the Manufacturing & Production Process and EquipmentDesired Characteristics
