Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A school district in Kansas City, MO is seeking multiple full-time Special Education Teachers to support K-12 students for the uping school year. These contract positions offer the opportunity to work with diverse caseloads including self-contained, inclusion, and resource settings.

Key responsibilities include :

  • Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Delivering specialized instruction tailored to student needs
  • Collaborating with general education teachers and support staff
  • Monitoring student progress and adjusting instruction accordingly
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and pliance with state regulations

Qualifications :

  • Valid Missouri Special Education teaching credentials
  • Experience working with K-12 special education students
  • Proficiency in managing various caseload formats such as self-contained, inclusion, or resource classrooms
  • Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
  • Demonstrated ability to perform all general duties of a Special Education Teacher
  • Positive attitude, growth mindset, and strong work ethic
