Talent4Health is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Yuma, Arizona.

🏥 Emergency Department Unit Summary – Foothills (Onvida Extension)

Start Date : 11 / 3 (Non-flexible)

Radius Rule : Must reside within 100 miles

EMR : Epic (experience required within past 2 years)

RTO : Max 5 days

No 48-hour guarantees / No blocked scheduling requests

📋 Experience & Requirements

  • Minimum Experience :

    • 2+ years recent Emergency Room experience

  • Must have Level I or II Trauma experience within the past 2–3 years
  • Level III or below NOT accepted
  • GSW / stabbing experience preferred
  • Certifications Required :

    • BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS

  • TNCC preferred

    • 🏨 Facility Details

  • Trauma Level : Level II (STEMI / Stroke receiving)

    • Transfers out if stroke intervention needed

  • Beds : 20 total, including 2 trauma bays
  • Fast Track : 6 beds
  • Triage : 2 Quick Look areas using ESI
  • Psych : No seclusion rooms
  • Security : On-site 24 / 7 (office in ED lobby)
  • Avg ER Volume : ~300 patients / day
  • Patient Types : All emergency needs

    • 👩‍⚕️ Staffing & Ratios

  • Ratios :

    • Medical : 1 : 5

  • UCY : 1 : 2–3
  • Fast Track : 1 : 6
  • Charge Nurse : No dedicated charge; House Supervisor available
  • Tech Support :

    • ED Techs (2+ yrs) : EKGs, blood draws, splints, vitals

  • PCAs (
  • MDs & Mid-Levels : On varied shifts; Peds board-certified staff available
  • Respiratory Therapy :

    • 24 / 7 RT coverage (ABGs, neb tx, CPAP, vent mgmt)

  • Equipment : Glidescope, Hamilton & Phillips vents
  • Tele Monitoring : RNs read own telemetry + monitor tech available
  • Lab Draws : ED Techs or RNs (no phlebotomy staff)
  • Imaging : Dedicated CT & X-ray in ER; RN accompanies critical patients

    • 🗓 Scheduling & Logistics

  • Shifts : Varied starts — 7a, 10a, 11a, 12p, 1p, 3p
  • Self-Scheduling : Modified model
  • Weekend Requirement : 4 shifts per 4-week block
  • Holiday Requirement : 2 of 5 (including eves)
  • Floating :

    • Shared schedule with Onvida Main campus (15 min away)

  • Rare last-minute float; usually pre-scheduled
