About the Role :
This position is responsible for delivering tactical Field IT Support services across regional laboratory operations. The technician will support a wide range of IT infrastructure and systems including desktop support, voice / data networking, imaging systems, LIS / BIS equipment, and facility-related technologies.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with strong technical skills, capable of working independently in both lab and field environments. This role requires a balance of technical expertise, customer service, and operational awareness.
Key Responsibilities
- IT Support & Systems Administration : Troubleshoot and resolve Tier-2 Service Center tickets within SLA timelines.
- Perform installations, moves, additions, and changes (IMACs) across applicable systems.
- Apply patches, updates, and perform routine maintenance per SOPs.
- Maintain current knowledge of evolving technologies and Field IT services.
- Provide regular performance reports and metrics using tools like HP Service Manager and Clarity.
Asset Management
Assist with inventory tracking, acquisition, and disposal of IT equipment.Coordinate disposal of workstations and peripherals in compliance with policy.Enforce IT Asset Management (ITAM) policies at the business unit level.Required Skills & Tools
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).Experience with desktop support, LAN / WAN, server administration, imaging systems, telecom, and lab instruments.Qualifications
Education Preferred : Associate's degree or equivalent experience.Certifications Preferred : CompTIA A+ or similar technical certifications.Additional Requirements
