COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR

Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology in Okmulgee is currently accepting applications for a Communications Coordinator. This position serves as the primary communications and media relations contact for the institution. This role will help facilitate the implementation of OSUIT's strategic marketing and communications plan, which includes media relations, promoting overall university strategy, aligning with OSU system communications teams, and reputation management. This individual will enhance OSUIT's reputation with key internal and external audiences through their strategic communication skills. Primary responsibility for developing strategic communications plans, writing content for news stories, media advisories, releases, articles, institute communications, policy communications and crisis / issues communications. The individual should demonstrate self-direction, creativity and strategic thinking in finding new opportunities to showcase OSUIT. Bachelor's degree in relative discipline with 3-5 years professional writing / editing experience highly preferred. A background check will be arranged through Human Resources.
