About Modern Law & the Yuma Expansion

Modern Law is expanding its footprint into Yuma, Arizona, and seeks a passionate, driven Family Law Attorney or an experienced attorney‑paralegal duo ready to make a meaningful impact. At Modern Law, we blend cutting-edge technology with compassionate, client-focused legal services to transform the family law experience.

The role offers :

Compensation : $85,000 - $110,000

Responsibilities :

  • Draft, file, and manage high-volume legal documents, including pleadings, motions, marital settlement agreements, judgments, orders, and contracts.
  • Handle division of marital assets—including real estate—during divorce proceedings.
  • Maintain well‑organized, up‑to‑date client files throughout case progression.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, mediations and negotiate effectively, even in high‑stress and emotional environments.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure smooth case management and outstanding client experience.

    • Qualifications :

    Education : Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited institution; undergraduate degree required.

    Experience : 1–2 years handling family law matters, including property and custody issues.

    License & Affiliations : Active Arizona State Bar membership in good standing; ABA membership preferred.

    Skills :

  • Strong negotiation, oral advocacy, and conflict‑resolution abilities.
  • Empathy and emotional intelligence for working with clients in sensitive family situations.
  • Tech‑savvy proficiency with modern legal tools and case management systems.
  • Organized, detail‑oriented, and process‑driven mindset.
