Piedmont Eastside Medical Center- Emergency Dept
We are looking for positive, self-motivated, engaged and excited for growth individuals to join our team
38 bed Emergency Department that sees on average 160 patients a day that present with various acuities.
We are a primary Stroke and Stemi receiving facility that is able to intervene and administer thrombolytics.
Two helicopter pads on campus for utilization
We have 5 PODs in our department, depending on acuity, is where the patient will be assigned
Behavioral Health Pod
We have Charge nurses, ED Flow Coordinators, Paramedics, ED Techs, PCTs, Mental Health Technicians and Unit Secretaries who work in close collaboration with the ED Providers to provide exceptional care
All staff members must have a BLS to work in this unit
JOB PURPOSE :
Coordinates the delivery of quality nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle, as well as operational issues during his / her shift. Provides clinical care as needed when census demands. Communicates patient care, departmental issues, and staff concerns to the appropriate leader(s). Serves as resource for guidance and assistance to the staff.

Qualifications - External
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED :
Graduate of a nursing program
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :
New Graduates of a nursing program eligible
MINIMUM LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW :
Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC / eNLC Multistate License.
BLS certification required.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS :
For PRN positions : One year of nursing experience in a hospital setting is required
Bachelors degree preferred
Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum)
Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting Preferred
