Job Title : Systems Analyst (Cognos)

Location : Remote

Duration : 2 Months (Tentative)

Weekly Hours : Approx. 20 hours

Position Overview

A leading organization is seeking a Systems Analyst with expertise in Cognos Analytics to support the installation, configuration, and migration of Cognos environments. The role will focus on upgrading the platform, migrating content, and ensuring post-upgrade stability.

This is a part-time, remote engagement and is ideal for a consultant with strong experience in Cognos Analytics administration and migration projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and configure Cognos Analytics environments on new servers, including upgrades from version 11.1 to 12.0 or later.
  • Configure Cognos servers post-installation, including :

Migrating framework models, reporting packages, reports, and users across all environments.

  • Setting up SSL and SAML.
  • Completing all setups required for Cognos Framework Manager installation.
  • Identify and document all tasks necessary to perform installation, configuration, and migration work.
  • Provide installation and configuration process documentation for future reference.
  • Provide post-upgrade support during the initial system patching period to ensure stability and functionality.

    • Required Skills & Expertise

  • Demonstrated expertise in Cognos Analytics management.
  • Hands-on experience with Cognos Analytics installation and configuration.
  • Experience with migrating Cognos environments, including framework models, reporting packages, reports, and users.
  • Experience converting from Active Directory to SAML for Cognos authentication.
  • Experience setting up and implementing SSL for Cognos environments.
  • Proficiency with Cognos Analytics on Windows Server environments.
  • Strong ability to provide process documentation and post-upgrade support.

    • Required Experience

    Demonstrated background in Cognos Analytics installation, configuration, and environment migration.

    Relevant experience duration to be provided by the supplier per evaluation criteria submission.
