  • Contract Duration : 6-8 weeks | contract-to-hire
  • Worksite Location : Robbinsdale, MN
  • Compensation : $25.00-31.00 per hour
  • Schedule : 40 hours per week | Start between 7 : 30-9 : 00am, Every Saturday & Sunday / Some Evening Coverage | Weekend Shifts Required

What youll do as the Patient Financial Advocate :

  • Conduct thorough financial screenings of patients and provide clear education on insurance benefits, coverage levels, and billing processes
  • Secure insurance authorizations, payment arrangements, and collect co-payments or coinsurance prior to discharge or outpatient services
  • Identify potential payment sources, including financial assistance programs and government aid, and guide patients through application processes
  • Provide accurate cost estimates and ensure accounts are cleared for billing in a timely manner
  • Serve as a trusted resource for patients and families, using tact and empathy to navigate financial concerns
  • What youll bring to the Patient Financial Advocate role :

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelors degree strongly preferred
  • 12 years of experience in patient financial advocacy, registration, or accounting
  • Strong background in customer service with experience supporting patients in financial processes
  • Proficiency with Epic systems and familiarity with insurance carrier communications for service authorizations
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle stressful situations professionally
  • Advanced knowledge of insurance and government assistance programs
  • Bilingual skills in Spanish or Hmong preferred
