As a Mechanic with our Shop / F leet team, you will be carrying out a variety of tasks to ensure city vehicles and equipment are well-kept and run without a hitch :

• Diagnosing and repairing engines, transmissions, brakes, and other mechanical systems quickly and efficiently to minimize downtime
• Performing preventative maintenance on a diverse fleet including such vehicles as police cruisers, pickup trucks, dump trucks, and loaders
• Transporting parts, tools, and City vehicles to and from various locations
• Keeping detailed records of maintenance and repairs
• Helping with snow removal and providing support to the other Public Works teams as needed

Qualifications and skills needed :

This is a full-time position working Monday - Friday from 7 : 00 am to 3 : 30 pm (Labor Day to Memorial Day) and from 6 : 00 am to 2 : 30 pm (Memorial Day to Labor Day). We also have shop provided tools, so you don't have to bring your own to work.
