We’re seeking a skilled and empathetic Occupational Therapist to join our rehab department and make a meaningful impact every day.

Job Summary

As an Occupational Therapist in our long-term care setting, you’ll help residents maintain or regain the ability to perform essential daily activities. You’ll work closely with nursing staff, families, and other rehab professionals to create individualized care plans that support functional independence and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess residents’ physical, cognitive, and psychosocial needs
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans focused on ADLs (Activities of Daily Living)
  • Provide therapeutic interventions to improve mobility, coordination, and self-care skills
  • Recommend and train residents in the use of adaptive equipment and environmental modifications
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support holistic care
  • Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Participate in care planning meetings and family consultations

Qualifications

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program (Master’s or Doctorate)
  • Experience in geriatric care or long-term care settings preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate approach to working with elderly and disabled populations
  • Familiarity with Medicare documentation and MDS assessments is a plus
