Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Located in Irmo, SC, this contract opportunity offers a full school year position working within a K-12 educational setting. The role supports a diverse student population ranging from general education students needing articulation and language support to those requiring moderate to significant assistance through special education programming. Therapists will serve an itinerant caseload spanning four schools, focusing primarily on K-4 students.

This position is ideal for candidates with credentials and experience in the following areas :

  • Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
  • SLP experience in healthcare and pediatrics
  • Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for SLPs
  • Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) for schools and healthcare settings
  • South Carolina licensure and current educator certification is required

Key responsibilities include :

  • Conducting comprehensive student assessments
  • Developing measurable goals aligned with student needs
  • Leading and participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings
  • Delivering direct therapy services to support speech, language, and communication development
  • Managing an itinerant caseload across multiple school sites
  • Coordinating any necessary travel with paid travel time; mileage reimbursement to be discussed if applicable
  • This is a 37.5-hour per week position designed to align with the school calendar year. It presents an excellent opportunity to engage in meaningful work supporting childrens educational and communication growth in a structured school environment.
