Job Overview
As a Maintenance Electrician at our company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facilities. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, equipment, and components. This position requires expertise in high voltage systems, hydraulic systems, and general electrical work. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial electrical maintenance and a commitment to safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and components in our manufacturing facilities
- Work with high voltage systems safely and efficiently
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues in complex industrial equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
- Install and maintain hydraulic systems and components
- Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems and equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
- Respond to emergency situations and perform necessary repairs to minimize downtime
- Collaborate with other maintenance teams and production staff to optimize equipment performance
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment history
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance electrical systems and processes
- Stay updated on the latest electrical technologies and industry best practices
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
- Mentor and train junior electricians and apprentices
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferredJourneyman Electrician certification requiredMinimum of 5 years of experience as an industrial maintenance electricianProven experience working with high voltage systemsStrong knowledge of hydraulic systems and their integration with electrical systemsProficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprintsExperience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and industrial control systemsFamiliarity with NFPA 70E and other relevant electrical safety standardsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and teamwork abilitiesAbility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentWillingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as neededValid driver's license and ability to travel to different company locations if required
