As a Direct Support Professional , you will play a vital role in empowering adults with developmental disabilities by supporting their overall wellbeing, fostering independence, and helping them thrive in community / employment settings and vocational opportunities.

What You’ll Do :

Support participants in building independence

Help them engage with their community

Guide them toward vocational and employment opportunities

Work on personalized, meaningful goals

You will also be able to participate in community outings such as pool days in the summer, bowling days, movie days and etc. with other members of the program.

We provide paid online and hands-on training to give you all the tools you need to succeed.

Requirements :

All drivers must be 25 years old or older with a clean driving record and current vehicle insurance.

High School Diploma

Ability to pass DOJ (Department of Justice) Live scan background check / fingerprints.

Valid CA Driver’s License as well as another form of ID (Social Security Card and / or Passport), and current auto insurance

CPR / FIRST Aide Certification (we also have classes for recertification)

Relevant level of experience working with individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities.

Comfortable working with individuals who may display diverse or challenging behaviors.

Must be able to commute all over the San Fernando Valley since we do not provide driving accommodations, and staff are expected to support clients at the locations where services are needed.
