Auditor Position
Hiring two positions. Reports to the Auditor / Chief Deputy Auditor with a primary purpose of processing the following : Licensing : Title transfers, Vehicle licensing, Processing mail, Dealership title work, Opening and closing procedure. Recordings : Deeds of Trust, Community Property Agreements, Land Surveys, Indexing documents, Verification of indexed data, Searching records, Opening and closing procedures. Elections : Assist with data entry of voter registration, Assist with Re-districting, Process incoming ballots. Other duties as assigned. Essential Duties :
- The majority of this position is to assist the licensing, recording and elections, data entry and customer service support to the public through phone and in office visits.
- Work includes verification and input of correct data through existing Auditor's office software systems.
- Provides assistance in greeting public and answering the telephone, directing questions to the appropriate department and answering questions regarding all areas within the Auditor's office.
- Work may require travel for training.
- Research historic records of varying content.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Knowledge of general office practices and procedures.Ability to organize work and meet established deadlines.Knowledge of proper phone etiquette and customer service techniques.Skilled in written and oral communication skills.Skilled in the use of standard office equipment i.e., computers, printers, calculators, etc.Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office software.Skilled in attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with coworkers, supervisors and the general public.Skilled in the proper use of spelling, punctuation, and rules of grammar.Education and Experience :
High school diploma or GED.A valid Washington State driver's license.Desirable Qualifications :
Background in customer service.Knowledge of Geographical Information Systems (GIS).Bi-Lingual (Spanish-English)Working Conditions : Requires standing at the counter, walking back and forth to the vault, and moving boxes up to 50 pounds. Work is performed in an office environment and may require long periods of sitting.
