About The Position

Job Title : CT Scan Tech

Hours per Shift : 12 hours (08 : 00 - 20 : 30)

Experience : 1 year preferred, 6 months Level 1 trauma required

License : State license required

Certifications : BLS, ARRT RT (R) (CT), SCRQSA (R) (CT)

Must-Have :

• Siemens experience
• Level 1 trauma experience
• Clienttion badge provided by agency

Description :

This position is for a CT Scan Tech.

Daily caseload per tech varies per shift and location.

The schedule includes working three 12-hour shifts, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 30 PM.

There is a holiday rotation required.

An on-call rotation with staff is also required.

The clinician may float within scope to meet facility needs.

Floating to sister facilities may be required.

The ideal candidate should have experience with Level 1 trauma.

First-time travelers are accepted if they have previous relevant experience.

The job requires the completion of certain imaging studies including various cardiac examinations.

Candidates should have skills in 3D rendering, emergency department procedures, and routine studies.

Experience with biopsies and drainages is preferred.

Interventional radiology procedures experience is preferred, especially with cardiac exams.

Candidates must be knowledgeable about radiation safety and preparation and administration of contrast media.

A range of patient age groups will be encountered, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

All time off must be included at the time of submission for consideration.

Travelers must be aware that they may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season, which runs from June through November each year.
