Join Oneida Innovations Group's growing business development team in a critical role to initiate and manage customer relationships across Federal agencies, prospect and develop opportunity leads, and continuously network for team-building with industry partners. We are looking for a high-energy, sales-oriented individual with experience leading customer engagement efforts for IT professional services companies.

Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for prospecting and generating new business for Oneida Innovations Group (OIG) and its subsidiaries focusing on Department of Defense as well as Federal / Civilian agencies.
  • Contributes inputs and strategy into OIG's business plan, marketing materials and initial prospecting of strategic customers and opportunities.
  • Works with customers via the 8(a) direct award process, as well as lead generation for competitive proposal opportunities.
  • Frequent travel for customer visits, industry days, attending tradeshows and conventions, supporting OIG exhibit booths required.
  • Responsible for building (and subsequently owning) a pipeline of qualified leads and opportunities; prepare and present gate reviews specific to the opportunities recommended for pursuit and capture.
  • Supports developing teaming agreements and strategic alliances
  • Effectively engages with capture manager(s), solution architect and program manager / teams to ensure opportunity objectives and initial solutioning effectively transition into capture activities
  • Communicating resource needs and leveraging resources assigned is critical to the success of every business development professional
  • Effectively communicate to prospects and teaming partners Oneida's value proposition and core competencies in IT professional services.
  • Collaborating with subject & technical matter experts, functional leads, and Program Managers
  • Gathers, assesses, and validates customer requirements working closely with Capture and Program Managers identifies related needs and constraints that impact winning solution
  • Assess probable competition and evaluates relative strengths and threats - conducts or assists with black-hats, competitive scenarios, etc.
  • Participates in gate reviews, pricing, teaming, and capture reviews
  • Submits all written trip reports and expense accounts in a timely fashion.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or technical field required.
  • Must have at least 10 years of relevant experience in business development for IT professional services in the Federal / DoD market.
  • Proven experience winning new business; experience and success developing business for 8(a)-certified federal contractors strongly preferred.
  • Ability to present an aggressive yet sensitive approach to building a national revenue base.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to make sound business decisions.
  • Proficient in the use of computers, especially Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills a must.
  • Must be a strong multi-tasking individual and demonstrate the ability to sell multiple products and follow a daily sales plan.
  • Travel Requirements :

    30%-50% of the time
