Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ER RN with a NY license, Epic experience, and required certifications for an evening shift emergency department role.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position is in a hospital emergency department with a mixed adult and pediatric patient population
  • Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1 : 5 with shared acuity levels
  • Required to float to other units as census warrants
  • Works evening shifts (3x12 hours, 15 : 00–03 : 00) with every other weekend required
  • Uses Epic for charting
  • Responsible for providing emergency care to patients ranging from pediatric to adult with a broad range of acuity
  • Scrub attire requires any combination of navy and white
  • Minimal requested time off (RTO) is preferred
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Pre-employment modules are required prior to start
  • Return staff must be gone for at least one year before being considered
  • \n \n Requirements\n

  • Active NY RN license required at the time of application
  • Minimum 1 year of recent ER RN experience required
  • Certifications required : BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS
  • Experience with Epic is required
  • Proficiency in emergency skills including dysrhythmia interpretation and management, care of multisystem organ dysfunction, blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, starting IVs, administration of IV paralytics, sedation, emergency meds, vasopressors, procedural sedation, CVA, and isolation precautions
  • Candidates must live more than 75 miles from the facility
