Summary :

The Speech Language Pathologist evaluates patients regarding the application of a wide variety of therapeutic techniques for rehabilitation of speech, language, hearing, and oral motor disorders.

Responsibilities :

• Administers complex diagnostic tests and evaluations of speech, language and swallow disorders, analyzes results of diagnostic and / or therapeutic testing to establish patient goals and / or modify subsequent treatment programs, provides clinical speech-language pathology services assessment and planning
• Develops or contributes to innovative programs to enhance patient care, provides counseling and / or feedback to patients and / or family members regarding patient's care through team meetings and / or direct contact.
• Maintains valid and reliable records of patient procedures, progress and / or recommendations, and documents timely per department policy.
• Selects and applies current and advanced techniques to provide quality and efficient speech / language / swallow rehabilitation services; serves as resource consultant to other clinicians in respective specialty area.
• Attends required meetings and participates positively; is accountable for information presented. Performs duties as needed that are not generally associated with normal job functions.
