Shift : Night shift 9 / 80 Schedule on Weekdays (4pm-1am)

Northrop Grumman is seeking either a Facilities Engineer Level 2 or a Principal Facilities Engineer Level 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The position is located in Clearfield, UT. This role follows a night shift schedule and involves coordinating maintenance and facilities operations in a high-technology environment.

Responsibilities

  • Will schedule contractors and provide SOWs.
  • Own equipment lifecycle—write PM plans; responsible for critical spare parts.
  • Conduct annual E-FMEA on assigned equipment.
  • Maintain strong organizational skills to manage time, projects, and resources.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication; cross-functional engagement with team members.
  • Communicate machine downtime and coordinate related actions.
  • Support operations IPT.

Basic Qualifications

Facilities Engineer (Level 2) :

  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM with 2 years of engineering experience in Power Systems, Power, Electrical, Electronics, Construction, Mechanical Design, Facilities, Operations, Aerospace, Control, or a Master's degree.
  • Experience with VFDs and servo-controlled systems.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
  • Ability to obtain Special Program Access.
  • Ability to support the weekday night shift.
  • Principal Facilities Engineer (Level 3) :

  • Bachelor's Degree in STEM with 5 years of experience in Power Systems, Power, Electrical, Electronics, Construction, Mechanical Design, Facilities, Operations, Aerospace, Control; or Master's degree with 3 years of experience; or PhD in STEM with 1 year of experience in these fields.
  • Experience with VFDs and servo-controlled systems.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
  • Ability to obtain Special Program Access.
  • Ability to support the weekday night shift.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting high-rate manufacturing facilities from a maintenance function.
  • Experience with industrial automation equipment (robots, conveyors, machining centers, etc.).
  • Troubleshooting electrical controls and 24V systems.
  • Knowledge of Beckhoff, Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Kuka, Fanuc.
  • Ability to interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and make revisions as required.
  • Experience managing spare parts and FMEAs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills in managing time, projects, and resources.
  • Applied knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project).
  • Salary

    Primary Level Salary Range : $70,200.00 - $105,400.00

    Secondary Level Salary Range : $86,600.00 - $130,000.00

    The above salary range is a general guideline; actual offers consider scope, responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and market conditions. Overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses may apply.
