Senior Associate
The Senior Associate is responsible for reviewing tax returns and completed working papers for assigned clients. They work closely with team members on all phases of project and engagement management for multiple clients. Senior Associates act as strategic consultants by providing advice and helping organizations and individuals understand various tax implications. Senior Associates provide exceptional client service as a trusted business advisor.

Responsibilities :
- Identify and address client needs : build, maintain, and utilize networks of client relationships and community involvement; communicate value propositions; manage resource requirements, project workflow, budgets, billing and collections; and prepare and / or coordinate complex written and verbal materials
- Demonstrate success and lead as tax technical business advisor, including developing new relationships, making introductions to sell new services and doing so with a "One Firm" service mindset
- Grow networks and relationships internally and externally for the team to leverage
- Work as part of a team reviewing tax strategies, ensuring tax compliance and increasing post tax profits to achieve the best corporate and individual tax practices for our clients
- Coordinate tax related projects and review prepared tax returns, working with a variety of entities such as corporations, partnerships, estates, trusts and non-profits across various industries
Review data input and resolve technical tax issues; respond to inquiries from the IRS and other taxing authorities
Provide guidance to Tax Interns and Associates in the scanning and preparation of tax returns; make recommendations on return preparation regarding accuracy, efficiency and tax saving opportunities
Prepare tax returns for more complex income tax clients and interact closely with clients regarding compliance and consulting matters
Answer client calls and emails in a timely manner and with a solution-oriented approach
Ensure client deliverables are completed within expectations
Identify and introduce other firm services based on client needs and discovered opportunities
Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues
Participate in continuous learning activities and active research to improve and develop technical expertise; apply learned concepts
Collaborate with leader to identify opportunities for efficiencies and proactive engagement management

Bachelor's degree in Accounting; graduating students should have 150 credit hours and a GPA of 3.0 or aboveSuccessful progress towards CPA licensure, if not already obtained2+ years' experience tax preparation and / or consulting experience preferredPrior experience in supervising staff and leading projects requiredEssential Functions
