Professional Development & Career Manager
The Professional Development and Career Manager plays a pivotal role in supporting the career aspirations and professional growth of SoLa Scholars, 60th Street Cafe Culinary Trainees, Pathways to Homeownership Participants, Model Z vocational School participants and affiliated community members. This position is responsible for providing individualized career counseling, developing and leading workshops, managing internship programs, and building partnerships with industry professionals. The Professional Development and Career Manager will also contribute to the expansion of programs that support high school and community college students, as well as SoLa residents re-entering the workforce. Additionally, the role offers opportunities to develop and enhance business and presentation skills by working closely with industry partners and contributing to strategic program initiatives.
The SoLa Foundation, a philanthropic arm of SoLa Impact, is a beacon of hope in South Los Angeles, striving to break the cycle of intergenerational poverty through education, economic mobility, and community development. Rooted in the belief that opportunity should be accessible to all, the SoLa Foundation provides a pathway to success for underserved Black and Brown communities. By providing scholarships, mentorship programs, and support for local schools and nonprofits, the SoLa Foundation bridges the gap between potential and opportunity for underprivileged youth.
