Job Overview
Join our team in "Doing the Most Good" as a Maintenance Worker at our Adult Rehabilitation Center. We're seeking a skilled and reliable maintenance worker to provide support for our facility, grounds, and other properties. This role is essential in maintaining our facilities and ensuring a safe, functional environment for our staff and beneficiaries.
Status : PT 20-29 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
General Maintenance
- Perform basic repairs and maintenance in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC systems
- Maintain floor surfaces throughout facilities
- Assist with setup and teardown of rooms, store fixtures, furniture, and displays
- Accompany vendors to various locations as needed
- Drive vehicles to obtain supplies and make deliveries
Grounds Maintenance
Perform landscaping duties including mowing and general upkeepHandle snow removal at ARC managed propertiesMaintain exterior areas for safety and appearanceAssist with seasonal maintenance needsProperty Support
Help with moving furniture and boxesSupport facility operations across multiple locationsMaintain equipment and tools in good working orderTravel to various Salvation Army properties as neededQualifications
Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalentMinimum one year of related maintenance experienceMust obtain / maintain a clear MVR record for driving Salvation Army vehiclesSkills & Abilities
Basic painting and electrical skillsProficient with small hand toolsExperience with equipment operation (lawnmowers, snow blowers, carpet cleaning equipment, buffers)Ability to work independently and manage time effectivelyStrong attention to detailRequired Certifications
Valid driver's licenseAbility to pass MVR checkPhysical Requirements
