The Pharmacy Coordinator is responsible to the President and the Pharmacy Director of PHD. This role works to ensure the proper filling of these orders in compliance with hospital policies and procedures and adhering to the pharmacy rules and regulations. The Pharmacy Coordinator works with PHD pharmacy to ensure all policies and procedures are followed and up-to-date. The pharmacy coordinator is responsible for reading, interpreting, and entering physician’s orders. This role checks all orders prepared by the pharmacy technician or the pharmacy intern before they leave the pharmacy to assure high quality and care for patients and customers.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and enter physician orders.
• Check orders prepared by the pharmacy technician or the pharmacy intern before they leave the pharmacy to assure high quality and care for patients and customers.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and pharmacy regulations; maintain up-to-date procedures in collaboration with the Pharmacy Director and PHD staff.
