Jeweler – Full-Time | Sachs Jewelers | Shrewsbury, MA

We are currently hiring for a full-time, on-premise Advanced Repair Jeweler with a minimum of 3 years of experience in the fine jewelry trade.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Perform all aspects of fine jewelry repair and restoration, including :
  • Ring sizing, re-shanking, chain repairs, hollow item repair
  • Soldering, prong tipping and replacement, channel rebuilding
  • Stone resetting, assembly, rhodium plating, finishing and polishing
  • Set diamonds and gemstones using various techniques : prong, bezel, pave, burnishing, bead, channel, split prong, shared prong, and fishtail
  • Work with precious metals including 10k, 14k, and 18k gold; platinum experience is a plus
  • Assemble raw castings and parts into finished pieces
  • Operate laser welders, polishing equipment, hand tools, torches, and electroplating systems
  • Complete 10–20 new repairs daily and perform quality checks on your own work
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and shop cleanliness
  • Follow safety and security protocols related to equipment and chemicals
  • Contribute to custom hand fabrication; hand engraving skills are a plus

Additional Duties :

  • Basic administrative and clerical tasks
  • Jewelry intake photography and quality control documentation
  • Customer interaction and service
  • Use of basic computer systems for tracking and organization
  • Apply sound judgment and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Qualifications :

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; formal training in jewelry repair / design preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship
  • Highly organized with excellent time management skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Schedule & Compensation :

  • 35–40 hours per week, including weekdays, Saturdays, and occasional Sundays in December
  • No night shifts
  • Seasonal overtime required
