The General Maintenance Engineer is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the efficient operation and upkeep of buildings, equipment, and systems. Pay : $24.00

Job Summary :

The General Maintenance Engineer is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the efficient operation and upkeep of buildings, equipment, and systems. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, as well as conducting routine inspections and preventive maintenance.

Key Responsibilities :

Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Collaborate with other departments and contractors as needed. Assist in the setup and breakdown of equipment for events or operational needs. Monitor inventory of tools, supplies, and spare parts; request replenishments as necessary.

Qualifications :

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training preferred. Proven experience in general maintenance or engineering roles. Strong knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical. Ability to read blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics. Excellent problem-solving and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual tasks and lift heavy equipment.

Work Environment :

May involve working in various indoor and outdoor settings. Requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts as needed.
