Overview
K2 Space is building large, high-powered spacecraft for the next generation of space development. Backed by Lightspeed Venture Partners, Altimeter Capital, and others, we aim to mass produce the highest-powered satellite platforms for missions from LEO to Deep Space. We are moving from an era of mass constraint to mass abundance with launch vehicles like Falcon 9 and Starship. Our team believes the future requires spacecraft designed to fully utilize massive rockets and handle multiple orbits. We are excited about contributing to a groundbreaking Series B space startup and invite motivated individuals to apply.
We are building large, high-powered satellites that can operate across multiple orbits to enable solar system development and progress toward a Kardashev Type II civilization.
The Role
You will own the success of Avionics testing, including the computing, data acquisition, RF, and power subsystems that are key to our satellite operation. In your first 6 months, you will help develop production-quality test hardware and software to deliver flight avionics through ATP and QTP for the first Mega satellite constellation. You will work with the Electrical and RF Engineering teams to interface with Avionics hardware, validate prototype designs, define test requirements, and design test infrastructure to meet milestones such as delivery of flight hardware to vehicle integration. In your first year, you will lead multidisciplinary test campaigns, root cause investigations, and production improvements to ensure reliability and scalability.
